What to Expect When You Sell with Us

Below you will find some basic information about what to expect when engaging Connect Business Brokers as your agent. Please note that all information provided to Connect Business Brokers is treated with the utmost confidentiality.

We really care about the people we work with. We will take the time to answer all of the your questions and understand your circumstances. We are happy to answer any questions regarding commissions and marketing expenses.

FREE APPRAISAL

We will offer to provide you with a FREE appraisal so you can have a better idea of the current market value of your business. At this stage we will ask you to ensure that all of your financial information is current. You will need to provide information about asset ownership (and market values) and leasing arrangements.

ENGAGEMENT

After you have considered the market appraisal and if you decide to proceed to engage Connect Business Brokers we will help with marketing strategies and customise a marketing plan to suit your individual business.

BUSINESS PROFILE AND MARKETING

A Business Profile is a detailed document about your business intended to give to buyers. We will need detailed information about your business so we can put together a professional business profile. NOTE: Buyers can only obtain your business profile after they have been qualified as serious buyers and signed a confidentiality agreement.

You will approve all marketing content prior to being released. We will only promote your business in a way that you are comfortable with.

BUYER ENQUIRY

We will handle all buyer enquiries ensuring that you only have to deal with genuine buyers so you don’t waste your valuable time.

NEGOTIATIONS

We will handle all the negotiations so you don’t have to be dealing direct with buyers. We are experienced negotiators and pride ourselves on delivering positive outcomes.

SUCCESSFUL SALE

We will handle the preparation of the business sale contract. We will also hold deposits in our trust fund.

THIRD PARTIES

We will ensure that all third parties involved in the transaction (accountants/solicitors) receive required information in a timely manner.

COMMUNICATION

We will keep you informed about the status of your sale at all times.

SETTLEMENT

We will be actively involved in the transaction until successful settlement of your business.
